Microsoft names AEC360 Global Industry Partner of the Year at 2016 Worldwide Partner Conference

Atlanta, GA— AEC360 has been named Microsoft Global Industry Partner of the Year for 2016, validating the CRM pioneer’s fast ascension to industry leadership in a field crowded with well-known legacy competitors.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently presented AEC360’s prestigious award before a sold-out Worldwide Partners Conference. With more than 15,000 attendees, the event was the largest in Microsoft history. Competition for Microsoft Partner Awards is fierce—more than 2,500 nominations from 119 countries, vying for 37 different global awards.

Microsoft Partner of the Year winners are recognized for partner achievements across a broad field of business applications spanning both CRM and ERP. Criteria for Partner of the Year selection is both wide and deep—vertical expertise, the number of successful customer implementations and performance against expectations all go into selection of Industry Partner awards.

“Having the right team, the right technology, the right platform, deep engagement with Microsoft— all critical to winning this award,” said 360AEC CEO, Whit McIsaac. “But customer success is the real win for all of us. That’s what this award really represents….our ability to help Microsoft customers get the most out of the technology they depend on to drive sales and grow and sustain their enterprise.”

AEC360’s solution framework is purpose-built and platform-specific, integrating CRM and ERP seamlessly within the Microsoft Dynamics suite. The company’s winning solution has evolved with its Microsoft relationship over the years, explained McIsaac. “Our relationship with Microsoft goes back to 2005—we were one of the first industry partners within the Microsoft Dynamics partner ecosystem with a vertical focus…so when they decided to go vertical, we were already there.”

The early collaboration that evolved through experimental programs like Microsoft’s Quantum Leap platform gave AEC360’s deep vertical expertise the kind of “go to market” program incubation for which Microsoft is known. “Building capacity and assets, working on development, branding, messaging—all focused on verticals. Of the 10 partners in that ecosystem, we were the only ones with a vertical emphasis—everyone else was either product or horizontally focused,” he recalled.

Working with the most widely used solution provider on the planet to implement end-to-end CRM solutions for the architecture, engineering and construction markets offered McIsaac and his partner Dave Hutchinson a unique opportunity to grow the relationship with Microsoft while refining their own company’s vertical market perspective.

An affiliation begun through pioneering vertical CRM solutions has evolved to become one of the most coveted of Microsoft’s business relationships—that of Industry Partner, delivering networked solutions and service to some of Microsoft’s most valuable customers. This year’s Industry Partner award is AEC360’s fifth Partner of the Year award and 2nd Global award. AEC360 has also been named Microsoft Software Developer of the Year and three-time Professional Services CRM partner of the year. In addition to being tapped as Microsoft Global Industry Partner of the Year for 2016, AEC360 has also joined Microsoft Dynamic’s prestigious Inner Circle of partners, representing the top fifty Global Microsoft partner companies.
